We couldn’t be more excited to share with you that we will be hosting a Summer Kick Off shopping event on Saturday, June 1, 2019, in partnership with our sponsor, Palais Royal, to benefit the students of Las Americas Newcomer School.
Las Americas Middle School is a newcomer campus that educates recent immigrant and refugee students who have no or very limited English language proficiency and who often have had a limited formal education in their native countries.
At Las Americas, the goal is to help students acquire beginning English skills, provide instruction in core academic content areas. Guide student’s acculturation into the U.S. school system, and to accelerate the students’ learning so they can transition to other programs and be prepared for the literacy and content demands of mainstream courses.
We would like to extend a warm welcome for you to join us in giving back by helping host a donation drive, recruit volunteers, and spread the word!
